The Lord desires His people to worship Him alone in spirit and truth. The appeal is clear:
Joshua 24:15, “Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.”
Deliverance and forgiveness are available through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Let no practice, tradition, or cultural influence stand between a soul and the holiness God calls us to.
Leviticus 19:31, “You shall not turn to mediums or to spiritists; you shall not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God.”
Joshua 24:23, “Now therefore, put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your hearts to Yahweh, the God of Israel.”
1 John 5:21, “Little children, guard yourselves from idols.”
Acts 19:18–20, “And many of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices. And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and were burning them before everyone… So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.”
Judgment Upon Those Who Do Not Reject These Practices
Revelation 21:8, “But as for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
1 Corinthians 6:9–10, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived… nor idolaters… will inherit the kingdom of God.”
Galatians 5:19–21, “The acts of the flesh are evident… idolatry, sorcery… of which I forewarn you… that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
